Hour

HOUR, s r.o is a software company whose history began in 1993. It is the author of several products focused on payroll processing and human resources management. The main products are currently information systems Human and Humanet, developed and improved on the basis of many years of experience of company employees. An indispensable part of its operations is also outsourcing of payroll as a form of strategic support and effective possibility of saving money in Slovak companies.

Currently, more than 350,000 pay slips are processed monthly through HOUR solutions, that is, every seventh pay slip in Slovakia. More than 2,400 companies use software and solutions for the management of human resources.

THE INITIAL STATE OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIRED CONSOLIDATION

At HOUR, they primarily dealt with a project to optimize the connection and effective link-up of the headquarters in Žilina and the company’s branches in Banská Bystrica, Košice, Bratislava and Piešťany. The company used a separate data and voice provider both in its headquarters and its branches, bringing significant complications with the growing number of customers. The main objective was to unify infrastructure and ensure the stability of the services provided. A major outcome of the status analysis and recommendations was to use a single unified service provider. The company announced a tender in which Slovanet convinced the company of its qualities.

A TRANSITION TO CLOUD HAS BEEN NECESSARY

The need for a cloud solution was brought by innovations of the company and large projects, together with the increasing demand from customers, where it was necessary to process a lot of data quickly and safely. Change has proved necessary. Slovanet convinced us by offering its services and mainly technological parameters with the possibility of individual tailor-made adjustments that we needed to adapt for the areas of payroll processing, human resources management, link-up of outsourcing and especially the speed and security of data processing.

TOGETHER THEY SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED THE DEMANDING MIGRATION

The most time-consuming and complicated process was the migration of some data to DC Slovanet, especially with regard to the migration of customer data. The transition from Slovanet mail service to an e-mail solution based on MS Exchange technology was also challenging, but our colleagues from Slovanet helped us very actively.
